Artifact 1

Being an Astronomy major, I get to take ASTR 480 which is a class that prepares us for astronomical research if we decide to pursue academia in the future. We learn about the hardware side of things, how telescopes and the electronics inside of them work. The best part, we get to actually use the 0.5 meter telescope on Apache Point Observatory to collect data for our final research paper.

Just before Spring Quarter, my roommates and I decided to get away from Seattle and go to Port Angeles. We spent a few days in the nature of Olympic National Park. These photos are from our hike of Marymere Falls.

The vaccine was finally made available to us college-aged people and I was lucky enough to one of the first people I know to get it. (I got my second dose 4 weeks later)

Artifact 4

I was pleasantly surprised when I got an email saying that I had won the Baer Prize from the Astronomy Department. Thank you to my advisor, Professor Sarah Tuttle, for nominating me. It is nice to know that there are people who genuinely try to help me be a more successful student and astronomer.
